Graphic Designer and Production ManagerNews Publication Design & ProductionTrafalgar District News Trafalgar District News is a monthly newspaper distributed to Trafalgar and surrounds, reporting on local news, events and community sports. As Trafalgar District News Graphic Designer and Production Manager, I collate the newspaper, designing the layout and presentation of each page, including typesetting of articles, whilst maintaining a polished appearance. I ensure that each newspaper is cohesive and refined with a focus on legibility, collaborating with the editor to perfect the final version. I complete final checks that the design files are suitable for printing and that they comply with printing requirements, confirming a quality outcome for the newspaper. Trafalgar District News is designed to appeal to the local community, with a traditional style of layout and an emphasis on local images, whilst communicating through effective and legible typesetting.
AcademicPublication DesignWhat Can Be Seen
‘What Can Be Seen’ is an observation of life, showcasing photographs and listened conversation that convey a perspective of people and the spacey they occupy. The publication features three issues, each exploring experimental layout design, playing with colour, overlapping imagery and text, and white space. In print, different mediums of paper and plastic, acrylic paint, and risograph printing were explored to create a dynamic and inspiring physical publication. The idea behind the project was to develop further creatively with each issue, whilst maintaining an overall consistent style, leading to more experimental results through design choices and print options as the series progressed.

The Golf Course Masterplan was put together with a focus on legibility and a polished appearance, as it is a proposal, it needed to convey a refined look to present effectively. The Masterplan features written work detailing the plans for the golf course presented in two columns down the page for ease of reading, alongside supporting imagery and drawn plans. Designed for the booklet was also a graphic line drawing of the golf course inspired by the drawn plans of the Masterplan.

FORA, Film of Regional Victoria, is a website that provides regional Australians access to film photography knowledge, information on local film services and a platform to share images publicly, it provides an outlet to create art and document regional areas, promoting the film photography medium outside of metropolitan areas where access is sparse. This project was completed through the UX user experience design process, ensuring an effective outcome in creating equity in film photography access.
